Injimedu is a village situated near the Peranamallur taluk of Tiruvannamalai district.

Injimedu, also known as Sri Narasimhapuram, is located on the banks of Cheyyar (Bahunadhi) 24 km from Vandavasi and 140 km from Chennai and was established by Sixth Jeeyar of Sri Ahobila Matam Sri Shasta Parankusa Yatheendra Mahadesikan. It is believed that various yagnas were performed in this village for Lord Sriman Narayanan and thus called as Yagamedu (Yagnavedhikai) which over the years came to be known as Injimedu. This is the birth place of two of the Jeeyars of Sri Ahobila Math: the 34th Pontiff Sri Sadagopa Ramanuja Yatheendra Mahadesikan and the 42nd Pontiff Sri SriRanga Sadagopa Yatheendra Mahadesikan.

Injimedu Yagnamedu: Injimedu which as known as "Yagnamedu", as the days progressed, this sthalam is called as "Injimedu". This sthalam is also called as "Yagna vedhikai", as lots of yagnams (Yagams / Homams) are performed in this sthalam for the world peace and for human community.

Now in this village there are two main temples The first one is the Perumal Temple, which is Sri Perundevi Nayika Sameta Sri Varadarajar, Hanumad, Lakshmana and Seetaa Sameta Sri Ramar, Sri LakshmiNarasimhar Temple and Siva Temple. This temple is well known for the Injimedu Periyamalai temple which was built in memory of lord Shiva. The village is bound by Panchayat.

From Koyambedu-Chennai bus stand [CMBT] Buses towards Thiruvannamalai (Route No: 208), Polur (Route No:148) will reach China Kozhyapaloor coot road [China Kozhyaploor X roads]. From this place autos are available to reach Injimedu Sri Varadaraja Perumal Temple.
